The structure is built of masonry and concrete for strength and to withstand the elements, yet a mixture of exterior cladding materials evokes a character indicative of coastal vernacular architecture.

The most unique aspects of the house are the two pyramid-shaped skylights and arrays of clerestory windows that filter natural light into the home’s multi-story foyer and great room areas.
